Oscars Awards 2009 - The Winners

The winners of the Oscars 2009 are listed in full below with Slumdog Millionaire (pictured above: BBC/Getty) bringing home a staggering EIGHT Oscars from the 81st Academy Awards, held in Los Angeles on Sunday 22nd February 2008.

British actress Kate Winslet also won an Oscar for her role in The Reader, as Best Female Actress. Heath Ledger won a posthumous Oscar for supporting actor for The Dark Knight, with family members on hand to collect it. The award will be saved for his daughter and given to her when she is eighteen.
