Sarah Palin's son Track marries in Alaska

Sarah and Todd Palin's 22-year-old son Track has married his high school girlfriend Britta Hanson.

The eldest son of the former Alaskan governor and vice presidential candidate tied the knot with Hanson during an intimate ceremony held recently in Hatcher Pass, Alaska.

"Our families couldn't be happier!" read a joint statement issued by both families.

"These are two hard working, humble, active, studious young adults who grew up together. We're tickled that after two decades of friendship we proudly witnessed their marriage, knowing their new life together will be blessed."

A larger ceremony is expected to be held this winter at the state's Alyeska Ski Resort when it is easier for guests from the mainland to travel over for "a long ski weekend".

Sarah's daughter Bristol recently inked a deal to appear in her own 10-episode reality series due to air on the BIO Channel later this year.

It has since been reported that the politician could possibly appear on the programme, though no plans have been set in stone.

HBO releases 1st picture of Julianne Moore as Sarah Palin

HBO has released a first look at actress Julianne Moore in her full Sarah Palin wardrobe and makeup.

Moore transformed herself to Palin in 'Game Change', donning the trademark hair, boxy red jacket and rimless glasses, reports the Daily Mail.

The actress is to portray the former Alaska Governor and vice presidential candidate in the HBO film, which began its production on Wednesday.

The film, based on the best-selling book by John Heilemann and Mark Halperin, will follow U.S. senator John McCain's 2008 presidential bid.

Starring Ed Harris as the senator, the film will show his selection of Palin as a running mate, to the eventual defeat in the 2008 general election.

Woody Harrelson portrays Steve Schmidt, McCain's senior advisor, while 'Lost' actress Melissa Farman will play Palin's daughter Bristol.
