The award winning Ugly Betty has been axed by American network ABC due to falling viewing figures in recent episodes. The series began in 2006 and became an instant hit with viewers, going on to win at the Golden Globes and Emmy Awards.ABC Television have said that the current series will end on a happy note and viewers should be pleased with the outcome.
