Actress Megan Fox is removing her Marilyn Monroe tattoo, which is inked on her right forearm.

"I really admire Marilyn Monroe, but I would never try to emulate her. I got the tattoo as a warning. It warns me not to let myself be treated so badly by the film industry so that it breaks me down," femalefirst.co.uk quoted Monroe as saying.

At a recent party, the 24-year-old showed off her arm and some of the tattoo has disappeared already and all of it seemed a lot lighter than normal.

Marilyn Monroe's letter fetches USD 52460 in auction

The reign of Hollywood icon Marilyn Monroe still persists and this was proved once again as hand-written letter of the yesteryear actor fetched USD 52,460 in an auction conducted recently.

The letter was written by a newly married Monroe in the year 1942 to her foster mother Grace Goddard and narrated her life as a married woman.

The newly-married 16-year-old Monroe described that how her husband James Dougherty used to keep her busy with the regular house hold chores, but pampered her a lot as well.

The envelope of the eight-page letter with ‘Norma’ signed on it had a postage stamp which mentioned that the letter was sent by Monroe from Van Nuys area of California.

Monroe had later married Joe DiMaggio and renowned author Arthur Miller.

Naomi Watts has revealed that she's extremely scared about playing Marilyn Monroe in a new biopic.

The actress is set to play the iconic screen siren in an adaptation of Andrew Dominik''s ''Blonde'' and she admitted the nerves about the part are getting to her.

"It''s a huge pressure. We all feel we know her. I''m very, very scared about that," Contactmusic quoted her as saying.

Watts is not the only star to be portraying Marilyn in a movie about her life - Michelle Williams is also set to play her in ''My Week With Marilyn''.

Marilyn Monroe's chest x-ray on sale

Fans of the late actress Marilyn Monroe will be able to bid for an intimate snap of the Hollywood icon at an upcoming auction - an X-ray of the star's chest is set to go under the hammer.
The medical photograph was taken at a Florida hospital in 1954 when the actress was being treated for womb condition endometriosis, reports contactmusic.

Other items that are on sale are Monroe's couch used during therapy sessions.

Never before seen pictures of Marilyn Monroe relaxing on the set of her classic comedy film ‘Some Like It Hot’ are set to go under the hammer in Las Vegas.

The sale of 11 coloured snaps from 1959 will take place at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino on June 25 this year, organised by US specialist Julien’s Auctions.

"In the slides Marilyn appears to relax between takes on the beach. She is wearing the revealing dress in which her character attempts and succeeds to seduce Curtis’s character," The Telegraph quoted Boss Darren Julien as saying.

Other items to be auctioned at the two-day event include an Italian-style carved chair with green velvet upholstery used for Marilyn’s last ever photo shoot.

Eternity With Marilyn Monroe: Sold for $4.6M

The L.A. Times and others are reporting that a woman auctioned off a particularly valuable but small piece of California real estate today. Elsie Poncher sold the crypt where her husband is currently interred, which happens to be directly above the final resting place of Marilyn Monroe.
Bidding started at $500,000 and closed today around noon EDT for $4,602,100.

That seems a bit high to us. We could understand paying that much if you wanted to be placed in the same crypt as Marilyn, but above her? There’s probably at least a few inches of metal and concrete separating you and your love goddess. You’d be spending eternity so close yet so far. Pure torture.
Not to mention the fact that Hugh Hefner is supposed to be buried right next to her, which means you’re probably going to have to endure frequent visits from a stream of buxom, platinum blonde, aging centerfold/bad reality show stars.

But you know who really gets the raw deal here? Ms. Poncher’s husband.
Richard F. Poncher was such a fan of Marilyn’s that he went out of his way to secure the crypt above hers (he bought the plot from Joe DiMaggio when he was in the middle of divorcing the diva in 1954). Furthermore, it is said that at his funeral in 1986, a group of his friends waited for everyone to leave and then turned his body over, so that for all eternity he would be lying face down on top of his idol.

Elsie Poncher confirmed the legend in the LA Times today.

“She said that when her husband was dying, he made a request. ‘He said, ’If I croak, if you don’t put me upside down over Marilyn, I’ll haunt you the rest of my life.’ Right after the funeral, Elsie said, she conveyed her husband’s wish to the funeral director. ‘I was standing right there, and he turned him over,’ she said.”

Elsie Poncher decided to sell the crypt to pay off a $1.6 million mortgage on her Beverly Hills home. She’ll move her husband to the crypt next to his current resting place (which he also bought from DiMaggio) and when the time comes she’ll be cremated.

It’s easy to understand why she doesn’t want to be buried with her husband under the circumstances. Not only would she have to play second fiddle to Marilyn, but Richard is bound to be plenty ticked off about being moved and who wants to spend eternity arguing? Although we understand his beef. He paid for eternity. All he got was 23 years.
