Was Brittany Murphy Addicted?

A Los Angeles coroner report was made public today that reveals that Brittany Murphy did not die as a result of using illegal drugs.

Nevertheless, TMZ has revealed that the late actress used to consume large amounts and varieties of prescription drugs and even used a fake name to shop for sedatives at several Los Angeles pharmacies.

According to some sources close to Murphy, she was cut off by a local pharmacy because the owner "feared an accident", and during the period from 2003 to 2009, she had "scores of prescriptions filled for 32 different drugs".

Still, her widower insisted today that Brittany did not use drugs or alcohol, and was adamant when telling the press so.
