Joe Jonas and Ashley Greene split

Joe Jonas and Ashley Greene have reportedly called time on their romance.
The pop star and Twilight actress, who had been dating since last summer, have broken up.
Their spokespeople confirmed the news to People.com.

Ashley, who will be reprising her role as vampire Alice Cullen in the final film in the Twilight Saga, Breaking Dawn, and Joe went public with their relationship last autumn and were spotted being affectionate in Disneyland and around Los Angeles.

The 21-year-old singer - who had previously been linked to Taylor Swift, Demi Lovato and Camilla Belle - had been said to be "head over heels" for the 24-year-old actress.

"He thinks she is down-to-earth and absolutely beautiful. He hasn't been this into a girl in a long time," a source told the website.

The duo have had to contend with each other's hectic working schedules. Ashley has been filming the two instalments of Breaking Dawn in Vancouver, while Joe has been busy working on his debut solo album.

Ashley Greene has revealed that she has a fear of Santa Claus.

Greene plays the clairvoyant vampire Alice Cullen in The Twilight Saga. According to WENN, Greene says that she has been terrified of Santa ever since she asked a stranger with a beard for Christmas presents.

"I'm like 3, and so my mum of course then has to tell me about strangers and how dangerous they are," confessed Greene. "She's like, 'If you ever sit on Santa's lap, you'll never see your mum again.'"

Greene continued: "After that I was like, 'Hmm, Santa - not so great!'"
