Black Eyed Peas Break Chart Record

The Black Eyed Peas have broken chart records as they enjoy a 17 week run at the top of the US Billboard Hot 100 singles chart beating former duo/group record holder Boyz II Men (16 weeks). The BEP were number one for twelve weeks with 'Boom Boom Pow' and then 'I Gotta Feeling' has dominated the #1 spot for the past five weeks.

Around the world the Black Eyed Peas are enjoying chart success as they have been #1 in Australia for ten weeks and are currently #1 in Ireland and could be #1 in the UK this Sunday with 'I Gotta Feeling'. The single is at #3 this week but could climb two places and knock off JLS from the top of the UK charts.

Usher holds the longest US Billboard Hot 100 record with nineteen weeks at #1.
