Daniel Craig as James BondThe latest James Bond movie 'Quantum of Solace' has enjoyed a record opening weekend in the US, beating the previous Bond movie ( Casino Royale) by $27m to top this week's Box Office US charts. Die Another Day had been the highest 007 film with $47m gross on it's first weekend. The initial figure of $70.4m was lowered after ticket sales estimation figures filtered through.
This follows a record breaking £15.5m opening weekend in the UK at the beginning of November and a world-wide income of $250m after just two weeks general release.
