Leona Lewis has gone straight to #1 in America with her debut album "Spirit", which follows hard on the heals of her recent #1 single "Bleeding Love".Leona sold 205,000 copies in America last week, knocking country singer George Strait off the #1 spot. Her single "Bleeding Love" has also climbed back up to the top of the Billboard singles chart, knocking Mariah Carey off the top spot. Leona became first ever British female artist to debut at #1 in the album chart.
The American market is hard to crack but Leona has been working tirelessly in the US and the rewards have finally paid off.
